Dye to begin June 12 as county economic developer

The Development Authority of Elbert County, Elberton and Bowman officially hired Caitlyn Dye as their new economic developer after announcing her as the sole finalist for the position May 9. The position has been vacant since the previous economic developer left December of 2023.

Early voting begins Monday

Early voting for the May 21 General Primary/Nonpartisan Election is set to begin Monday, April 29 in the Historic Rock Gym. Voting will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with two days of Saturday voting being held on Saturday, May 4 and Saturday, May 11.
