County general fund budget 'doing well'

One month shy from being halfway through the 2024 fiscal year, the Elbert County Board of Commissioners (BOC) have recorded an increase in revenues and decrease in expenditures over the prior year as of November's financial report.

Hospital records substantial YTD bottom line increase

Elbert Memorial Hospital (EMH) recorded a substantial increase in its bottom line for year-to-date (YTD) numbers through the end of October compared to numbers from the prior year. The numbers were reported during the hospital's Nov. 28 regular meeting.

Annual Christmas parade kicks off Christmas season

The Elbert County Chamber of Commerce hosted Elberton’s annual Christmas parade Sunday, Dec. 3 to kick off the holiday season. The parade and subsequent pep rally included performances by the Elbert County Comprehensive High School Marching band and cheerleaders.
