Voters in the City of Bowman will head to the polls May 7 in order to decide whether or not council members Leah Carey and Betty Jo Maxwell should be recalled from their offices. Bowman Elections Superintendent Savannah Ivester announced the election in a notice on page 3 in today's edition.

Elbert Memorial Hospital has always been a special place for Arelia Lane. The hospital is where she and her four siblings were born, the place where her daughter was born and, for 45 years, has been her work home.
