EMS providing additional level of care with plasma

Elbert County citizens in need of assistance through Elbert County Emergency Services (EMS) are now able to receive another level of care through a pilot program that allows paramedics to now carry and administer plasma.

County budget looming over Aug. 14 meeting

ECPS goes back to school at Beaverdam

The former Beaverdam Elementary School has been repurposed as the new Elbert County Primary School as it gets ready to open its doors to students for the first time in 12 years Aug. 1. “Just based on the turnout at our ribbon cutting ceremony, that school meant a whole lot to a lot of people.

BOE to hold budget hearings Thursday

The Elbert County Board of Education is scheduled to hold the first two of its three public hearings before voting to approve a millage rate that would cause Elbert County taxpayers to pay “an increase  in property taxes by 20.25 percent over the roll-back rate percent” Thursday.
Elbert County Emergency Services (EMS) Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) volunteer members include (L-R) Alex Valderrama, Joe Colvard, EMS Training and Operations Supervisor Tim Bohannon and Josh Carrington. The group of 14 total members is looking for new members to help serve the community through the ARES organization.
