Dr. Jonathan Yung-Chi Poon, has achieved the Degree of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the national medical association representing nearly 127,600 family physicians, residents and medical students, according to a press release from the organization.

Three pronounced dead after Campbell Street Extension fire

Three people were pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Beth Seymour following a house fire on Campbell Street Extension in the early morning hours of Nov. 11. According to Seymour, a call came in early that morning reporting the home, located at 1023 Campbell St. Extension was on fire.

While the Korean War saw the height of its conflict while John N. “Pete” Anderson was in high school, he received a notice in the mail that he had been drafted into the United States Army when he was 23 years old.
