BOC approves millage rates

Candidate forum scheduled for Oct. 1

Reward offered for info on missing man

By Julie Weeks jweeks@elberton.com    The Elbert County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday an anonymous donor will provide a $2,000 reward for information leading to the safe return or regarding the whereabouts of 74 year-old Elberton resident Freddie Dubose.

ECCHS student Jaukeem Fortson to appear on NBC’s ‘The Voice’

Local singing sensation Jaukeem Fortson will appear in the upcoming season of NBC’s “The Voice.”  Fortson recently won the grand prize of $20,000 after finishing first out of 10 finalists in the fourth annual Hallelujah Auditions held in Burlington, Iowa May 18.
