The Elbert County Comprehensive High School mixed Raiders team brought home the state championship after the state meet in Griffin Oct. 29. The mixed team is made up of Raiders Kalebb Ingle, Heidi Navarro, Justin Brown, Phillip Bolden, Eva Garcia-Laguna, Linda-Garcia Laguna, Tyson Haigood, Jamaze Hall, Josiah Harkins, Isabella Harpold, Wyatt Stelter, Selenda Valdivia and Aiden Clark.

The Elbert County Comprehensive High School mixed Raiders team brought home the state championship after the state meet in Griffin Oct. 29. Hospital’s ‘three tough months’ in the books

With the first quarter now recorded in the 2023 fiscal year, Elbert Memorial Hospital’s (EMH) operating numbers began to see a positive outlook during the month of September, according to Chief Financial Officer Tim Wren’s report during the Elberton-Elbert County Hospital Authority’s Oct.

Netherlands visitors tour new Elbert County Athens Tech arena

Athens Technical College recently hosted guests from the Netherlands at the Elbert County Campus to see the new Tom McCall Agricultural Science Arena and horticulture, animal science, poultry production and fish and wildlife/conservation law programs.

Early voting numbers set record highs

Dobbins resigns as economic developer

Economic Developer Daniel Dobbins has resigned as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Development Authority of Elbert County, Elberton and Bowman. Dobbins announced his formal resignation, effective Dec. 30, in an email to authority members Monday afternoon.
