Just shy of three months past the July 1 deadline, the Elbert County Board of Commissioners approved a $35 million budget for the 2023 fiscal year (FY) that includes a $1.4 million increase in the county’s general fund expenditures.

Voter registration deadline Oct. 11

Voter registration for the upcoming Nov. 8 general election will close Tuesday, Oct. 11. Those wishing to vote in the election must register to vote before the deadline.
Registration can be done in-person at the Elbert County Registrars’ Office located at 45 Forest Ave.
