The Elbert County Middle School Beta Club broke school records during the Georgia Junior Beta Convention Nov. 27 through Nov. 29 in Savannah as they received awards in 11 different categories, five of which they were crowned the champions.

Annual Christmas parade kicks off Christmas season

The Elbert County Chamber of Commerce hosted Elberton’s annual Christmas parade Sunday, Dec. 3 to kick off the holiday season. The parade and subsequent pep rally included performances by the Elbert County Comprehensive High School Marching band and cheerleaders.

Parades, market kicking off Christmas season

A host of Christmas-centered activities, including the annual Bowman and Elberton Christmas parades, will take place this weekend to kick off the holiday season. Bowman’s annual Mistletoe Market and Caroling on the Square will begin the festivities as it will be held Friday, Dec. 1 from 6 p.m.
