Voter registration deadline Monday, forum Tuesday

Monday, April 22 is the final day for citizens to register to cast their votes in the May 21 General Primary/Nonpartisan Election. Voters not registered after Monday’s deadline may not vote in the May 21 primary.
Elbert Memorial Hospital Representative Tammy Dalton was the drawing winner for The Elberton Star’s Community Choice Awards ballot contest. The Star received thousands of votes during the voting period in March, and those who cast ballots were entered into a drawing for a chance to win $100. Chamber celebrates centennial

The Elbert County Chamber of Commerce will hold a celebration of its centennial anniversary during its annual  banquet Thursday, April 11 at 6 p.m. in the Historic Rock Gym. The Jan.
