The Development Authority of Elbert County, Elberton and Bowman officially offered a contract to Daniel Dobbins Thursday morning to run the community’s economic development efforts.

Deja vu: Bowman mayor Pete Gibbons ‘emails’ resignation

Pete Gibbons will resign from his position as mayor effective Jan. 1, 2020. Carla Patten, mayor pro tem, announced Gibbons sent an email to City Clerk Crystal Duck and City Attorney Richard Campbell that he was resigning from his position but did not give a reason why.
