The Elbert Memorial Hospital Authority Board finally approved a resolution Friday afternoon that says Elbert Memorial Hospital (EMH) operates like a 501c3 non-profit organization and qualifies for the status but chooses not to be classified as one.

Madison Harpold humbly admits she never expected to be the Valedictorian of Elbert County Comprehensive High School’s (ECCHS) senior Class of 2020.  “I did not expect it. I honestly don’t feel like I deserved as much as the other kids I was competing with academically,” Harpold said.

For the past four years, Lexie Partain’s goal was to be one of the top three students in Elbert County Comprehensive High School’s (ECCHS) Class of 2020. She’d walk past the wall at ECCHS where former students’ photos hung on the wall and knew she wanted to be on it one day.

A blessing or a curse? Two sets of twins

Lauren Dye said she doesn’t know whether she’s cursed or blessed.  Since March 27, two of Dye’s horses, “Audi” and “Cami,” have given birth to sets of living twins.
