One positive test in school

The Elbert County School District had intended to inform the community once a week (every Friday) on how many students and employees had tested positive for COVID-19 and how many were quarantined. But on Friday, the school system posted that information twice.

Evaluation of roadways is approved

Fire at an Old Farm Drive residence has been ruled an arson

A fire at 1642 Old Farm Drive on Aug. 20 has been ruled an arson by the Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office according to a press release that was issued Monday afternoon.  Alerts for the fire were sent out by the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office at 6:18 p.m.
