Diamond Devils to battle Leopards for region championship

By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   The Elbert County Diamond Devils were scheduled to host the first game of what Head Coach Lance Ingram is calling “the matchup of the season” when Region 8AA foe Banks County came to town Tuesday, April 12.

Devils secure playoff berth with wins over Banks

Diamond Devils continue perfect region record

By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   The Elbert County High School Diamond Devils’ winning streak extended to 14 games after sweeping their doubleheader against Rabun County High School April 1. The Devils are also coming off of wins against Briarwood Academy March 25 and Rabun County March 29.

The journey to Macon through South Atlanta, Swainsboro, Callaway and Josey

'No moment too big’ for the state champion Lady Devils

The Mat Rams (pictured above) took the home the region duals championship Friday, Dec. 10 at Habersham County. The team won all five matches to take home the championship. The team also finished in second place eight points shy of the championship in the region traditionals at Habersham County. The Mat Rams will host Hart County and Crescent in the Inferno Wednesday, Dec. 15 beginning at 5 p.m.

Rams claim region duals championship

The Elbert County Mat Rams wrestling team took home the region duals championship during the round-robin style match Friday, Dec. 10 in Habersham County. The Mat Rams won all five matches for the day, earning them the region championship.
