By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   State Champion Abby Bryant represented Elbert County High School in the 2022 Girl’s High School Golf National Invitational against 223 of the nation’s best golfers at the historic Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina June 27-29.

By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   The Diamond Devils’ season was ended May 4 by the bats of Jeff Davis High School’s Yellow Jackets who swept the Wednesday doubleheader in the Sweet Sixteen of the GHSA State Playoffs. The Devils fell in the first game 10-1 and 3-2 in the second game.

By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   Nearly two dozen track and field athletes will advance to compete for a state championship title May 12 through May 14 thanks to a strong showing at the sectional meet May 7 at Pace Academy.
