Elbert earns series win over Banks

Elbert County’s Diamond Devils picked up a huge series win over first-place Banks County last week, moving the Devils to 12-6 in region play.  Banks came into the matchup undefeated in region play and riding a 15-game winning streak that started March 4 with a win over Commerce.

Spring Sports postseason starting this week

Spring sports are officially transitioning into the postseason as two Elbert County teams are scheduled to play for championships this week.  The Lady Devils slow pitch softball team is scheduled to head to Woodstock April 16 for the first round of the GHSA State Playoffs.  The No.

Golf team looking to defend ‘Border War’ crown

Elbert County’s Blue Devils and Lady Devils golf teams are hoping to defend their 2024 Border War trophy as they are scheduled to face off with Hart County and Franklin County in the second annual Border War.

Diamond Devils to see Banks

The Elbert County Diamond Devils came into the week looking to snap a two-game skid as they face region frontrunners Banks County in a three-game series this week. The series was scheduled to start April 8 with the first game at Diamond Devil Field. Results were unavailable at press time.

Diamond Devils bounce back with sweep
