Elbert’s Blue Devils basketball team kicked off a new season against Class A Division No. 4 ranked Social Circle High School and AAAA Luella High School during the Peach State Explosion at Cedar Shoals Nov. 19 and Nov. 21.

JV Mat Devils conquer Inferno Invitational

The Elbert County junior varsity Mat Devils defended their home turf as they won the Inferno Invitational Tuesday, Nov. 22. Along with their first place finish, the JV Devils had 16 wrestlers to place in the Top 4 positions in their respective weight classes.

7U team makes history as back-to-back champs

The Elbert County Parks and Recreation (ECPR) 7U Blue Devils made ECPR history as the first team to win back-to-back championships after bringing home the American Football Conference (AFC) Championship Saturday, Nov. 19 at Stephens County.

Wrestling Devils, Rams finish second in Saturday scrambles

Elbert County wrestlers finished second in a series of scrambles as the Elbert County Comprehensive High School Mat Devils took second in a home match in the Inferno while the Elbert County Middle School Mat Rams took home second at Social Circle Saturday, Nov. 19.

Devils are second round bound for first time since 2017

For the first time since the 2017 season, Elbert County’s Blue Devils have advanced out of the first round of the state playoffs after trouncing Pepperell High School 31-7 Nov. 11 in the historic Granite Bowl.

Mat Devils win second at Panther Scramble

Elbert County’s Mat Devils got their season underway as the JV team finished in second place at the Panther Scramble hosted by Jackson County Nov. 12. The team finished with 232 points behind only East Jackson, who finished in first with 256 points.
