Lady Devils flag football team splits two games at home

The Blue Devils may have been off preparing for the playoffs, but there was still gridiron action at the Granite Bowl last week as the Elbert County Lady Devils flag football team continued its inaugural season as a program, hosting Cedar Shoals for two games.

Elberton Downtown Skelebration, Fall Festival this weekend

A busy weekend is ahead as the Main Street Elberton is set to host two of its biggest events of the year on back-to-back days. The festivities are scheduled to begin Friday, with the annual Downtown Skelebration, set to kick off at 4 p.m. on the downtown square.

Elbert County volleyball’s season ends in state playoffs against Model

The Elbert County volleyball team made its first state playoff appearance in program history last week and traveled to Rome for a first round match against Model High School. The No. 23 seed Lady Devils fought hard against the No. 10 seed, but ultimately fell in three sets (25-15, 25-10, 25-19).
