Lady Devils beat No. 4-ranked Banks

The Lady Devils softball team wrapped up their 2024 regular season with a 5-4, come-from-behind victory over region-leading, No. 4-ranked Banks County at Wesley King Field Oct. 7.  The Lady Leopards got the best of Elbert in their first meeting Sept. 3 as they won by a score of 12-2.

Devils see trio of season-bests in Jefferson

Three Blue Devil runners posted season-best times as the Elbert County cross country team competed in the Jefferson Invitational hosted by the Dragons Oct. 4.  Elbert’s runners were led by Dakota Toole, who finished with a time of 19 minutes and 51.01 seconds.

Tigers’ ground game bites Devils

Elbert County’s Blue Devils fell 42-27 on the road to the No. 10-ranked Commerce Tigers on the road Sept. 28 after Hurricane Helene forced a rescheduling and a venue change.

Elbert County’s Lady Devils cross country team had a pair of runners finish on the podium while the Blue Devils finished second overall as Elbert hosted the inaugural Granite City Invitational at Camp Harmony Sept. 24.

Volley Devils match moved to tonight

Elbert County’s Lady Devils volleyball team is scheduled to host senior night tonight in the Elbert County Middle School gym in their final regular season match as they are scheduled to see area opponents  Lake Oconee Academy and Washington-Wilkes. The matches were originally scheduled for Oct.

Elbert runs through Oglethorpe

Elbert County’s Blue Devils are 1-0 in region play after a decisive win over Oglethorpe County in Lexington Sept. 27. The Devils held Oglethorpe to just 149 total yards of offense in the game while amassing 479 yards of their own in the big win.

Volley Devils sweep pair of games in Athens

Elbert County’s Lady Devils volleyball team picked up a pair of back-to-back shutout wins on the road Sept. 19.  The Lady Devils started the day with a match on the road against Monsignor Donovan in Athens, who Elbert had already beaten 3-0 in their first meeting Aug. 13.

Cross Country brings home Top 5 finish from Athens

The Elbert County Blue Devils cross country team brought home another Top 5 finish from the Athens Academy Home Meet No. 1 hosted by the Spartans Sept. 19.  The Devils finished in fifth as a team with 119 points, just behind fourth-place Mt.
