Devils fighting for seeding in region

The Elbert County Blue Devils basketball team is fighting for a higher seed in the Region 8A Division 1 Tournament as they play their final four region games of the season.  The Devils are 2-5 in region play, with a 55-54 win over Athens Academy Dec. 20 and a 73-57 win over Oglethorpe County Jan.

Mat Devils finish dual season at state

Elbert County’s Mat Devils wrestling team is setting its sights on traditional season after Elbert’s dual season ended with a trip to the GHSA State Championship Duals Jan. 17 and 18.  Elbert’s short traditional season is scheduled to start off with a bang as they host the Inferno Invitational Jan.
The 2024-2025 varsity basketball cheerleaders include Riyahanna Ardister, Kendall Baston, Brylie Burdette, Jennifer Flores, Kelsie Hayes, Leah Higginbotham, Jaslyn Huff, Lila Layne, Cadence Noggle, Jurnee Porter, Brailey Sims, Bailee Starrett, Ja’Nydra Watts and Ijianah Whiten.
