By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   Senior pitcher Jaynee Webb threw a no-hitter in a dominating 12-0, four-inning, second region win for the Lady Devils over Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (BASA) Sept. 8. “It was really good to see,” Head Coach Drew Greer said Monday.

ECMS runners finish second, fourth at Franklin meet

By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   After a cancellation caused a delay to the start of the Elbert County Middle School Cross Country season, the Rams finished in second and the Lady Rams finished fourth in a meet hosted by Franklin County Sept. 8.
The Elbert County Lady Volley Devils defeated Monsignor Donovan High School during a five-match series Sept. 8. The win puts the program at a record-high five wins during the season.

Lady Rams improve impressive inaugural season

By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   The Elbert County Middle School (ECMS) volleyball team ended their first-ever month of competitive play with a 3-1 record after defeating Stephens County at ECMS Aug. 31. The Lady Rams won straight sets to take a 2-0 victory over the Lady Rebels.

Lady Devils dominate during region opener

By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   As part of an explosive first two innings in the first region game of the season, sophomore Reagan Baker hit an inside-the-park home run to help lead the Lady Devils to a 12-6 victory over Athens Christian Sept. 1 at Wesley King Field.

Devils push through Harlem, rank Top 10 in state

By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   The Elbert County Blue Devils are in the top rankings in the state by both Georgia High School Football Daily and MaxPreps after Friday’s 27-21 win over Harlem High School that put them at 3-0 on the season for the first time since 2015.

Arrowhead, ECCHS golf to host first-ever state championship event

By Mark Wells mwells@elberton.com   Elbert County is scheduled to host its first-ever state championship event when Arrowhead Pointe Golf Course and the Elbert County Comprehensive High School golf program host the  2023 GHSA Class A Division 1 Golf State Championships in May of 2023.
