Elbert County Comprehensive High School senior Jamia Allen is one of 105 students across the nation to be named a Horatio Alger National Scholar, the organization announced Aug. 15.

Harlow to finish calendar year as interim CEO

Elberton’s MiYako Ardister was one of 28 graduates from the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice’s (DJJ) Basic Juvenile Correctional Officer Training (BJCOT) Aug. 26.

Bowman approves rezone requests
