Elbert County Middle School’s Mat Rams concluded their season with a fourth place finish in the Peach State Wrestling League Traditional Tournament hosted by Jackson County Jan. 27. The Rams finished in fourth place as a team out of the 13 schools from Northeast Georgia that competed.

The Elbert County Blue Devils basketball team mounted a late fourth quarter rally against Tallulah Falls on the road Jan. 27, but were unable to capitalize on opportunities to take control of the game as they fell 54-50 to the Indians and 0-5 in region play.
