Blue Devils come out on top of Mount Vernon

The Elbert County Blue Devils have climbed back up to No. 5 in the state after downing Mount Vernon on the road in a 45-40 shootout Sept. 29.

Lady Devils to play for region crown

The Elbert County Lady Devils softball team is set to play for the region championship as Commerce comes to town Oct. 5 for the last region game of the season. The Lady Devils sit in second-place in the region standings as of Oct. 3 with a 5-1 region record.

Running Rams wrap season with seventh-place finish at region

The Elbert County Rams Cross Country team wrapped up their season after finishing in seventh place at the Northeast Georgia Interscholastic Athletic Association Region Meet hosted by Franklin County Sept. 26.

Devils win big on homecoming

The Elbert County Blue Devils football team have climbed back to No. 6 in the Georgia High School Football Daily Class A Division 1 rankings after they downed Jefferson County by a score of 39-14 in the historic Granite Bowl Sept. 22.

Lady Devils score 16 straight

The Elbert County Lady Devils softball team have climbed up to the No. 5 spot in the Coaches Box Georgia Class A Division 1 rankings after downing Athens Christian at home Sept. 19 by a score of 16-1. “It was good, especially getting back into the region win column,” Head Coach Drew Greer said.

Volley Devils celebrate seniors, prep for area

The Elbert County Volley Devils held their senior night celebration at home Sept. 19 as Clarke Central and Monsignor Donovan came to town.

Volley Rams finish third in region tournament to end season

The Elbert County Middle School Volley Rams finished third in their region tournament after falling to Hart County by a score of 2-1 in the second round of the tournament Sept. 23. The Lady Rams started off their tournament run with a 2-0 win over Rabun County in the opening round.

Cross Country places on the podium, continues to improve

The Elbert County Blue Devils cross country team finished on the podium with a third-place finish at the Heroes Invitational hosted by Tallulah Falls School Sept. 23. The Devils finished third with 73 points, just four points higher than Tallulah Falls, who finished  second with 69 points.
