The Elbert County Lady Devils are officially playoff bound.
Elbert qualified for the GHSA Class A state volleyball championship for the first time in school history. The Lady Devils are the No. 23 team in the 32-team bracket, which was released Sunday afternoon.

Fair returns to Elbert for 92nd consecutive year

The Elberton 12-County Fair is slated to make its grand return this weekend for the 92nd consecutive year.
Fair manager Becky Hitchcock, whose family has been in charge of the fair since the late 90's, said this year's 11-day fair promises to deliver yet again.

City of Elberton approves Grid Resilience Grant Program

The Elberton city council announced at its monthly meeting Monday the approval of federal funds under the Grid Resilience Grant Program that will be used to upgrade 8,000 feet of primary power line in the city.

Lady Devils softball closing out strong regular season

Postseason play is looming on the horizon for the Elbert County softball team, with just three regular season games left on the schedule. The Lady Devils are currently 22-3 and sport an undefeated 11-0 region record.

Elbert softball still rolling ahead of Banks showdown

Elbert County softball continues to take care of business, extending their winning streak to seven games to improve to 19-3 on the season. The Lady Devils only have one loss in the month of September and are 9-0 in region play.
