Lady Devils advance to state Final 4 with win over Vidalia

The Elbert County Lady Devils are Final 4 bound. No. 12 seed Elbert went on the road and beat No. 4 seed Vidalia 61-38, advancing to the GHSA A state championship semifinal and avenging last year’s playoff loss to the Indians in the process. “It’s surreal right now,” head coach Josh Jones said.

Elbert soccer teams ready for region

It’s region time for Elbert County soccer. The Blue Devil boys’ and girls’ teams began their region schedule with a game against Providence Christian on Tuesday night. The boys' team lost 11-1 and the girls' team lost 10-0.

The Elbert County boys’ basketball team lost at Model High School in the second round of the GHSA state playoffs Saturday night, bringing an end to the Blue Devils’ season. Elbert finished the year 13-13 overall including playoffs.

Devils, Lady Devils finish fourth at Blue Devil Shootouts

  Arrowhead Pointe was bustling this weekend as it played host to the Blue Devil Shootouts Feb. 28. A total of 136 golfers from around Georgia came to compete in the scramble tournament, which was split between boys and girls. Both of Elbert’s teams finished fourth in their respective fields.
