Devils blank Eagles, will be No. 2 seed

The Elbert County Blue Devils football team clinched the No. 2 seed in the GHSA State Playoffs after blanking Athens Christian by a score of 42-0 on senior night in the Granite Bowl Oct. 27.

Blue Devil Band brings trophies home from Franklin, Hart

The Elbert County Blue Devil Marching Band competed in two competitions this fall and won multiple honors after strong performances. The band kicked off their competition schedule with a trip to Franklin County High School as they competed in the Pridelands Marching Contest Sept. 30.

Devils drop second region game against Tigers

The Elbert County Blue Devils football team’s region-championship hopes took a hit on Friday as the Devils fell to the Commerce Tigers by a score of 49-21 in the Historic Granite Bowl Oct. 20. “In every phase of the game we did not play well,” Jarvis said after the loss.

Hardman traded back to Chiefs, makes immediate impact against Chargers

Former Elbert County Blue Devil Mecole Hardman was on the move over the past week as he returned to Kansas City following a trade between the Chiefs and the New York Jets Oct. 18.

Lady Devils lose in Super Regional

The Elbert County Lady Devils’ season came to a close after falling in two games to Trion in the Super Regional round of the GHSA State Playoffs. “We were very proud of how our girls competed.

ECPR football teams wrap regular season

The Elbert County Parks and Recreation Department (ECPR) football teams finished up their regular season schedules with a handful of games in the Historic Granite Bowl Oct. 21. The 6U Blue Devils defeated Madison County by a score of 28-6, moving them to a perfect 6-0 on the season.

Devils shut down Rabun

The Elbert County Blue Devils football team put on a defensive masterclass as they topped Rabun County by a score of 21-9 on the road, in what was the Devils’ first win over the Wildcats in program history. “I can’t put into words. This might be the one of the best wins I’ve ever had.
Elbert County’s Super-Regional bracket will see the No. 1 seed Lady Devils play against No. 4 seed Oglethorpe County in the first round while No. 2 seed Trion and No. 3 seed Whitefield Academy also face off in the first round.
