Devils, Lady Devils finish fourth at Blue Devil Shootouts

  Arrowhead Pointe was bustling this weekend as it played host to the Blue Devil Shootouts Feb. 28. A total of 136 golfers from around Georgia came to compete in the scramble tournament, which was split between boys and girls. Both of Elbert’s teams finished fourth in their respective fields.

Elbert girls’ soccer searching for groove in new season

This year’s Elbert County girls’ soccer team is a relatively young, unproven bunch. After the graduation of star seniors Victoria Medellin and Paulina Guerrero, the Lady Devils have a roster featuring seven freshmen and five sophomores among the 20 total players on the team.

Elbert County tennis team has mix of experience across rosters

There’s a bit of a youth movement going on in the world of Elbert County tennis. First-year head coach and 2021 Elbert County Comprehensive High School graduate Bo Kidd is returning to his alma mater as the program’s head coach, after being a standout tennis player for Elbert back in high school.

Veteran-led Diamond Devils seek banner year

One look out to the outfield makes Lance Ingram’s expectations for Elbert County baseball very clear. “I don’t put any playoff appearances up,” the head coach said of the outfield markers commemorating the Diamond Devils’ most successful seasons.
