Devils down Rabun in the rain

The Elbert County Blue Devils soccer team picked up an important region win over Rabun County in a rainy match in the Granite Bowl March 22. The Devils won the game 5-3 and put some distance in between themselves and fifth place Athens Christian in the region standings.

Slow Pitch kicks off new year

Elbert County’s Slow Pitch softball team kicked off their 2024 season March 14 with a pair of games on the road against East Jackson and Franklin County. The Lady Devils split the doubleheader as they downed East Jackson but fell to Franklin County in the second game.

Diamond Devils sweep series against Rabun

The Elbert County Diamond Devils baseball team bounced back with a trio of region wins this week as they defeated Rabun County in a three-game series to improve to 9-6 on the year.

Lady Devils pick up overtime win over Barrow, Devils fall in close match

The Elbert County Lady Devils soccer team moved into third place in the Region 8A Division 1 standings after beating Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy 2-1 March 15.

Elbert Golf Teams record Top 5 finishes in weekend tournaments

The Elbert County Blue Devils and Lady Devils golf teams posted a pair of Top 5 finishes over the weekend at tournaments around the state. The Lady Devils, led by freshman Lucy Johnson, finished third at the Cougar Invitational in Villa Rica March 16.

Diamond Devils fall in doubleheader against Tallulah Falls

The Elbert County Diamond Devils fell in back-to-back games against No. 5 ranked Tallulah Falls March 7 to drop to 7-6 on the year. The Devils fell in the first game 3-2 and lost 7-3 in the second game of the doubleheader after beating the Indians 1-0 earlier in the week March 4.

Diamond Devils beat Tallulah to open region play

Elbert County’s Diamond Devils kicked off their Region 8A Division 1 schedule with a 1-0 win over No. 5 ranked Tallulah Falls March 4. The Devils entered the game ranked No. 8 in Class A Division 1 by Coaches Box Georgia while the Indians were ranked No.
