Bills sign Mecole Hardman Jr. to practice squad

Elberton native and veteran NFL wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. is back in the NFL. The three-time Super Bowl champion signed with the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad on Monday per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Buffalo is currently 6-3 and second in the AFC East.

Bowman food pantry looking for new home

The property that once housed Bowman Elementary School and a gym currently serving  as home to the Bowman Community Food Pantry are now being offered for sale. The historic site, located in the heart of Bowman at 86 Adams Circle has long been a community landmark.

Harpold reports Bowman Elementary break-in

Bowman Mayor Scott Harpold informed the Bowman City Council that someone broke into the former Bowman Elementary School building, causing thousands of dollars of damage in the process. "I wanted everybody to know that we had a break-in at the school," Harpold said during Bowman's Oct.

Feds providing more funding for passenger rail in Georgia

Elbert County Probate/Magistrate Judge Stephanie Hewell was sworn in as the president of the Constitutional Officers Association of Georgia (COAG) for the 2023-2024 year during a ceremony in Savannah. Hewell and the other officers were given the oath of office by House Rep. Rob Leverett.
