Commission joins other counties to urge FCC to accelerate decision

At a called meeting Monday night, the Elbert County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved to join Franklin, Hart and Stephens Counties to urge the FCC to move forward with the Memorandum and Orders for market modifications to allow citizens to receive television coverage from Georgia stations.

Landfill legal case continues

Sweet City Landfill LLC’s 10-year dispute with Elbert County’s commissioners over a special use permit (SUP) application for a landfill in the county is spilling over into an 11th year.

Hardman wants to create FHF Foundation at his new home in KC

The full crowd at Elbert County Middle School erupted in cheers at the eighth annual Friends Helping Friends Club (FHF) basketball game on Friday, Oct. 18. after Sandy Adams, president of the organization, announced that Mecole Hardman was in the building.
