EMH pauses mandate

While the Elbert Memorial Hospital (EMH) Authority Board was hearing about the hospital’s vaccine mandate due to federal mandates from The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) from Chief Operating Officer Tammy Harlow during the board’s meeting Tuesday, Nov.

City looking into spec building for Industrial Park

The Elberton City Council authorized the study, development and solicitation for proposals to construct a speculative building in the Elberton Industrial Park that would be the first new building for sale or lease in the park in more than 10 years during Monday night’s meeting.

GHSA moves Elbert to A classification

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) reclassification committee threw a wrench in classifications and alignments for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years last week that would drop Elbert County from Class AA to Class A.
