For whom the dinner bell tolls

I have a confession to make:  I hate dinner time.  That's not to say I don't like to eat. Good food is one of the few things I'll get really excited about, I just don't like the "time" part of dinner time. I never have.

Justified by The Resurrection

By Douglas Huff   “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16  Often, this verse is on my mind as I awake in the morning. I guess it is God’s way of reminding me of how precious I am to Him.

The Economic Development Authority "Select Elbert" website

Stepping back but not totally away

By Julie Weeks   If  you'd told me when I was growing up I would become the editor/publisher of The Elberton Star, I wouldn't have believed you. And if you'd told me a few months ago I'd be leaving after only a year, I wouldn't have believed that, either. I love this job.

Springtime makes me smile and sneeze

By Dink NeSmith   Ahhhhhhh, April is here. What’s your favorite season of the year? Each has its highlights, but I vote for springtime. Spring is when you can shuck your sweater and feel the warmth of what’s to come. Well, let me back up. Spring flirted with us in mid-March.
