It’s about to be that time for Elbert County golf.The Blue Devils are hosting the 2026 GHSA golf state championship tournament at Arrowhead Pointe next week. The 36-hole competition will run from Monday to Tuesday, with boys teeing off at 8 a.m. Monday and girls at 1:10 p.m.

The Elbert County golf program is teeing off the excitement for the GHSA state championships with a welcome party at the Elberton square Sunday night. The event will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the night before the championships begin Monday at Arrowhead Pointe.

Henderson stars as Blue Devils play tournament in Suwanee

Elbert County sent five boys’ golfers to Bear’s Best Golf Club in Suwanee for the North Gwinnett Invitational this weekend. The Blue Devils shot a 319 as a team, good enough for fourth place. Nolan Henderson led the way for Elbert County with a 70 and made a playoff for the top individual spot.
