Lady Devils’ Kaylen Rucker signs to play college basketball at Columbia International University

Elbert County Comprehensive High School senior and Lady Devils guard Kaylen Rucker is officially continuing her basketball career at the collegiate level.Rucker signed her letter of intent Wednesday afternoon to play basketball at Columbia International University in a ceremony held at ECCHS.

Lady Devils advance to state Final 4 with win over Vidalia

The Elbert County Lady Devils are Final 4 bound. No. 12 seed Elbert went on the road and beat No. 4 seed Vidalia 61-38, advancing to the GHSA A state championship semifinal and avenging last year’s playoff loss to the Indians in the process. “It’s surreal right now,” head coach Josh Jones said.

Lady Devils sweep Franklin, gearing up for region gauntlet

Region play is here for the Elbert County girls’ basketball team, and with it comes some tough tests that have big-time ramifications for the Lady Devils’ season. The Lady Devils traveled to Commerce on Tuesday to take on the Lady Tigers and came up short 45-38.

Swarming defense propels Lady Devils to hot start

The Elbert County girls’ basketball team is off to a 7-0 start to begin the 2025-26 season. In their most recent game Tuesday night, Elbert got a big region win over Rabun County, who entered the game with a 6-1 record.

‘No easy games’ for Lady Devils basketball in new year

Elbert County girls’ basketball took its region by surprise last year, but things are different this time around. The Lady Devils went on a tear to start 2024, racing out to a 16-0 start before finishing 24-5 and making it to the second round of the state tournament.
