‘Big mistakes’ and poor execution caused Elbert County’s first loss to rival Hart County in five years (19-7, 2014) Friday night in Hartwell. 

Hart’s senior-laden Bulldogs took advantage of early Blue Devil miscues to produce the most lopsided game (39-7) since the Brent Miller era. In 2009, Coach Miller’s Devils fell 35-0 in the Granite Bowl. Since then, the heated gridiron border wars have been much closer affairs.
