Students of the Month are selected at ECCHS

The following students were selected as the September students of the month at ECCHS.

Kobe Fouch was selected by Coach Lance Ingram from Team Sports class as the PE Student of the Month.

Coach Ingram nominated Kobe because “he works hard each and every day. Kobe does everything asked of him with respect.” 

Kobe is the son of Jacqueline Bolton and Rico Fouch.

Melanie Guerrero has been selected as the Fine Arts Student of the Month  by the Art Department. 

Her band instructor, Dr. Ashley Floyd, says that “every day and every rehearsal, Melanie gives great effort to improve as a musician and a leader.” 

Melanie is the daughter of Pablo Guerrero and Yuridia Blanco.

Cadet Private First Class Nicholas Smith is being recognized as the Cadet of the Month by the JROTC Department. 

SFC Cadd says, “Nicholas is an amazing cadet. He has quickly mastered every task we have presented. 

Nicholas was selected to serve as a squad leader, and he is currently the highest ranking Freshman in the Brigade.” 

Cadet Smith is the son of Leann Smith and Jason Smith.

Bry’Shun Roebuck has been selected as the Career Pathways Student of the Month by the Granite Technology Department. His instructor, Mr. Michael Williams, says that “Bry’Shun is a reliable and hard-working student that excels in operating the diamond saw in granite class. He is always willing to help others and perform tasks of the trade.” 

Bry’Shun is the son of Brittany Allen.

Khang Vu is being recognized as the Academic Student of the Month by the Science Department because his teacher, Coach Mark Crook, says that “he is very inquisitive and bright. Khang is always going the extra mile with his assignments.” 

Khang is the son of Dung Pham.

Katrina Bradford is being recognized as the Academic Student of the Month by the English/ Language Arts Department. Her teacher, Mrs. Kelly Gary, says that “Katrina is the type of student every teacher enjoys. She is a mature young lady who always tries her best and has a high average to show for her efforts. She is a quiet, thoughtful, intelligent student who is well-respected by her peers.” 

Katrina is the daughter of Tina Bradford.

Marquaveon Johnson is being recognized as the Academic Student of the Month by the Math Department. 

His teacher, Coach Phillip Hale, says that "Marquaveon has a 96 average in my class. He is constantly working on improving his grade by asking questions and getting clarity.  ‘Quay’ also helps his peers in the classroom once he has a clear understanding of the concept.”

Marquaveon is the son of Anitra Jenkins.

Ashton Rousey is being recognized as the Academic Student of the Month by the Social Studies Department. 

Her teacher, Mr. Curtis Adair, says that “Ashton is a wonderful student. She does what she is asked in a timely manner, pays attention to instruction and participates fully in class activities.” 

Ashton is the daughter of Brian and Danielle Rousey.
