Rush enters guilty plea
Shannon Michelle Rush, 35, entered a plea of guilty to two armed robberies in Elbert County Superior Court Friday afternoon.
Acting on the negotiated plea deal between Northern Judicial Circuit District Attorney Parks White, local law enforcement and Rush’s attorney, Elbert County Superior Court Judge Chris Phelps sentenced Rush to 30 years in prison with 15 to serve without the possibility of parole.
Rush, whose co-defendant in the robberies, Brandon Jamal Rucker, 31, is still awaiting trial, was arrested in Lavonia on June 29, three days after she entered Pinnacle Bank and threatened a teller before leaving with cash from the bank. (Continued on page 1)
