KECB has set up littering ‘hotline’
Through a joint effort of the City of Elberton, the Elberton Police Department, the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office and Keep Elbert County Beautiful (KECB), a litter “hot line” has been established to report littering and illegal dumping.
Callers can remain anonymous or leave their contact information with a request for law enforcement to call them. Even in the second case, no names of callers will be released to the public.
To report littering or illegal dumping, call 706-213-3261.
Callers are asked to leave detailed information including the date, time, specific location, specific violation and any information identifying the person or persons responsible.
“Keep Elbert County Beautiful is very thankful to the City of Elberton, Elberton Police Chief Mark Welsh, Elbert County Sheriff Melvin Andrews, and the Elbert County Board of Commissioners for their support and for establishing an easy way for the public to report littering and illegal dumping,” said KECB Board Member Gerry Besharat.
