Christmas adult coloring contest held by the Elbert County Library

The Elbert County Public Library is holding  an Adult Christmas Coloring Contest.

Those wishing to prove to all how much their coloring skills have improved since kindergarten should pick up a coloring sheet at the Elbert County Public Library as soon as possible.

Completed  coloring sheets must be returned to the Elbert County Library no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

Entries should have the participants’ name, e-mail address and/or phone number on only the back of the sheet to ensure anonymity during judging. Prizes will be awarded  by a  panel of judges.

First prize will be a Christmas ham.   Second place a pecan pie.Third place will be a box of Stove Top Stuffing.

“This contest is a fun excuse to gather with friends over  coffee or maybe a glass of wine during the Christmas Holidays to relax and color,” says Elbert County Librarian Jan Burrougs. “The library will have colored pencils and crayons available for use at the library for those who don’t have them at home. We want as many adults to participate as possible. The pictures that do not win will be given to residents at area nursing homes to enjoy over the holiday season.”
