Musical entertainment at JAAM Festival May 6-7
The Jim Ree African-American Museum’s JAAM After Hours will take place on Friday, May 6 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Old Rock Gym.
This is a dance with heavy hor d’oeuvres, featuring DJ Coffee Man.
The Spring JAAM Festival will be held Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The festival will be held in the parking lot between the museum and the Elbert County courthouse. There will be local entertainers at the festival from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. then the music will continue with Floyd’s Passion Band, which will entertain between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs and lean back and enjoy the music.
Fees for the event are $80 for a 12-by-12-foot space for food vendors; $45 for craft and commercial spaces; $25 for informational booths where there is no selling.
Jim Ree is also offering sponsorships through April 30 for a year-long coloring book, “JAAM 2016.”
The deadline for sponsorships in the coloring book have been extended until April 30.
